Situated in Central Missouri on the Missouri River and founded in 1821, the City of Jefferson (the official name of the capitol of Missouri), is named for Thomas Jefferson, the nation's third president. The central location provides easy access for visitors within the state, as well as out-of-town guests. Our clean, well-kept neighborhoods reflect the pride our people have had since the beginning.
